The Power of Fruit

Today, we are discussing the power of fruit!

Read on:

Fruit contains a pharmacy of nutrients. The amount of beneficial compounds in fruit and the potential benefits these nutrients have for humans could fill an entire textbook. Plus, nutritional research is still in its infancy, so the likelihood that fruit contains nutrients we haven't even discovered yet is high!

Fruit is an excellent post-workout option. It contains primarily quick-digesting carbohydrates, making it an ideal after-workout snack for replenishing energy stores and flooding your system with vitamins and minerals to aid recovery.

Most active folks do well with fruit. Yes, all fruits contain sugar, but that shouldn't scare you off, especially if you're active. Most fruit contains a relatively low amount of sugar and is hard to overeat. Imagine trying to eat six bananas in one sitting—the same amount of sugar as a whoopie pie! That's probably not going to happen anytime soon!

Eat a rainbow to optimize the power of fruit. Different colored fruits contain different nutrients and vitamins. If you want to supercharge your system, strive to consume various colored fruits, such as reds, oranges, yellows, purples, greens, blues, whites, and anything in between!

Adding fruit to your routine should be a no-brainer based on the information above!
